Until further notice, we are not accepting private placement applications.

This is normally the page where our application procedure is outlined.  We are currently accepting applications from CPS caseworkers only.  We regret that, temporarily at least, we will no longer be able to respond to private placement inquiries.  We currently have a 6-month waiting list and are receiving hundreds of phone calls and emails each month from families in distress.  Since our primary focus is residential care, we are simply not able at this time to provide such counseling services at a distance.  We recommend that you seek advice from one of the many out-reach services for children and families spread throughout the U.S.  Our prayers are with you and your family.  Please feel free to explore our website, and, if you wish, go to our General Store and sign up for our bi-monthly newsletter or other free publications.    

Who We Serve

HCYR is dedicated to providing therapeutic care and substitute parenting for youths whose needs cannot be met in their current environment, and who show an aptitude for benefiting from the HCYR program. Some have no parents; some have been abused or abandoned; and some have simply exceeded their families’ capabilities for care and supervision for the time being.

Children, ages 6 to 18, of all ethnicities and backgrounds, and all levels of need and difficulty (Levels of Care 1 through 6) are accepted and some stay until high school graduation, while others are returned to reunified families or relatives.
