| For
many years, Michelle was the victim of childhood incest. It was not until she began to
fear that her younger sister was beginning to be the target of abuse from their father
that she told someone. She wrote a poem, All Those Years, at age 14, while she was
living at HCYR, after being removed from her home by the child welfare system. Although
she states that she has forgiven her father, Michelles testimony helped put him
behind bars. Inspired by her story and her courage, this song is dedicated to all who have
suffered such a devastating cruelty.
