With protection and minimal guidance, at-risk and abused children can discover fresh embers in the ashes of their devastated lives. Their work in music, art and poetry is often stunningly beautiful. Through the Arts Program at HCYR, children may choose to publish their inspirations, and Youth Ranch Publishing insures that their works are properly copyrighted, and produced to share with others. |
Youth Ranch Publishing was established in 1996 to pay tribute to the art of wounded children by making it available in professionally produced formats. Visual art is framed and displayed year-round in the Meadows Fine Arts Center. Children's poetry is published regularly, and five anthologies are now in print. CDs of songs derived from the poetry are also currently available, as are DVDs of shows and music videos. |
