The cattle rancher faces more challenges than ever in history. In this portrait of Idaho rancher, Dick Bass, the grit and pride of the struggle are evident. 

This tender portrait was an early favorite when released in 1980.  Suede-like background makes fits any decor.

A devoted fan of John Wayne commissioned Scovel to do this portrait of the American hero in 1979.

The original painting of "Windkiss" was three feet tall.

This painting has long been a favorite among hunters, wildlife enthusiasts and outdoorsmen.

Scovel spent many months in his early adulthood working on his cousin's ranch near Boise, Idaho.  

The horse was one of a young warrior's greatest possessions, bearing signs and symbols of his fate.
