Directions to Big Springs Ranch at Leakey To reach the Big Springs Ranch at Leakey if coming from the Austin area: Take TX16 at its junction with US290 in Fredericksburg, travel south to Kerrville, then take I-10 West as you enter Kerrville. From I-10, coming from any direction (El Paso or San Antionio): Take Exit 490 (TX41/Mountain Home) from I-10, and travel west 23 miles on TX41 to US83 at Garven Store. Turn left (south), and travel 18 miles to the BSRC entrance, 2 miles S of HEB Camp (9 mi. N of Leakey).
If coming from
Kerrville, take TX27 to Ingram. At the "Y" (second light), turn right and take TX27
12 miles to TX41 at Mt.
Home (you will pass our Ingram campus one mile out of Ingram on TX27).
In Mt. Home, turn left (west) on TX41 and go 21 miles to US83 at Garven
Store. Repeat directions in second paragraph on TX83. At the gate, turn left and travel 1/2 mile to the Administration Building. Call 830-232-4121 if you experience difficulties. Coming from the south on US83 (from US90 and Uvalde), travel to the BSRC entrance gate on your right, 9 miles north of Leakey. |
