Pre-Application for Private Placement

HCYR admits children from parents and guardians, as well as placement agencies.
If you wish to inquire about the private placement of a child, you may fill out the admission form as a way to get the assessment process started. 

  • Established in 1977, Hill Country Youth Ranch is a non-profit charitable corporation licensed by the Texas Department of Health and Human Services to provide a safe, loving, and life-enhancing Christian environment for children and young adults.

    HCYR offers a broad continuum of services, including residential treatment for children recovering from severe trauma, family care for those who have stabilized, transitional living for young adults, a community for single mothers, and life-long family-based support for alumni.

    • Resident of Texas, age 5-18

    • Prefer IQ of 85 or above

    • No convicted sex offenders

    • No active substance abusers
